moment one: my staff called me to say they were shopping and the store was locked down in a hostage situation, she couldn't talk much more than that. i had some flashbacks to the shooting
moment two: got wonderfully cranky email from boss, i sent in payroll as usual and she responded with 'what? why all this money? explain', yes payroll was about the same hours and staff as always. i respond politely but firmly after my walk
moment three: we adjusted for the missing staff person, adjusted for a kiddo who just turned 5 and needs a lot of care, and then another 5 year old pulled out his parts and showed them on the playground to the kids.
well i decided to take a walking meditation time in the middle of the day, i didn't take a watch or a phone, it was wonderful and dropped the reaction response, it was so nice that i can follow up from my retreat into real life
what really sucks is that some people suck, a person who used to work for me but still works at the school found out about the hostage situation, and on his way out said 'is P still alive', i was managing the trigger of how this related to the shooting really well but then this jerk says that, i can't decide if i want to go say something to him tomorrow. i feel good that i was going to let him go before he got the school day job
