I'm going to replace the cotton webbing on my canvas shopping bags. I bought the webbing and I also bought a pack of machine needles for denim (and other thick stuff).
But now I realize that I had an old packet of them. I don't mind keeping the new packet, but they look a bit shorter than the old ones I have (and haven't used yet). I'm wondering if the new ones would even fit?
My machine is an old Kenmore........maybe 40 years old at least. Online lots of posts says that newer needles fit all the old machines........but like everything else, another post says they don't.
I don't want to open the new ones and not be able to use them. Any ideas? I'm assuming length needs to be the same as the older needles.
What do you think?
