I received a flyer from Solar Perks Clean Energy Collective. This is advertised as a community solar program for customers with National Grid. Basically, if you sign up for this program, you get a 5% reduction on the utility bill. It's a 20 year commitment.

The town I live in just completed a community solar array. I found out through National Grid my average monthly bill is $31. I almost completed the sign up on line but was interrupted and paused when they asked for a Credit Card and access to my checking account for the monthly bills. I have had a follow up telephone call and three e-mail messages pursuing me as a customer. It's a bit aggressive. I am glad I was interrupted as I hesitate to give away access to both my credit card and I never let any utility have access to my checking account. But, that's part of the deal.

I have to go back and read the agreement again as I am not sure what I am paying them for? How do I know what this is or is not? The company is in Colorado.
