that would be at our mediation group, i don't if it is good or bad that it was my night to facilitate but it turned out okay. the discussion was really lopsided, a young dude makes an incomprehensible comment, we all talk about something else for awhile, he says something else, young lady looks like she going to giggle, we go back to the awesome convo m well interesting at least

I'm going to make a buy one of these days; I promise I won't toke up and attend a meditation group. For one thing: driving. I think my knees are ready for a medical card.

So was it a mediation group or a meditation group?

I wouldn't want a mediator who came to my appt high, but I wouldn,t care if a meditator was high.

meditation, i always thought it would be rather neutral to have someone there like that but i found it disruptive to have someone who wanted to participate in discussion however there were not present enough to be clear.

I assumed it was meditation. Stifled giggles at mediation? Problematic. Either way...

It is better not to get started on That Stuff. The true reason for legalization is that it is The Opiate Of The Masses, and if being self-medicating is what they want, the authorities figure: let 'em have it. Sure--all the pro-use propaganda says it is not only harmless, it is VERY beneficial, as well. It isn't just a cure for every chronic and debilitating disease, it is the cure for alcohol abuse, too! They go: "Well, at least I'm not out driving the WRONG WAY at 200 MPH in a SCHOOL ZONE during recess with a BAC of .300!!!!" Really faulty rationale. But the thing I've noticed---and as Yogi Berra said: "you can observe a lot just by watching"; is that with Potheads, it becomes central to their existence. Yes--they will come back at you---IN ALLL CAPITAL LETTERS---"I RAISED NINE KIDS AND WORKED THREE FULL-TIME JOBS, PUT MYSELF THROUGH GRAD SCHOOL AND CLIMBED MT EVEREST & K2 ON THE SAME WEEKEND, AND NOT A DAY EVER WENT BY THAT I MISSED SMOKING 4 OR 5 JOINTS!!!! Prolonged use can make some people adamantly delusional. So, yeah--it is a touchy subject, criticizing pot. I know a guy who was a co-worker and is F-book friend. Every other post of his is about pot. The rest is all about various methods of Takin' er easy. Another F-booker/user is looking forward to the NEW Pink Floyd Album. He recently participated in the annual Park Board 5k Run, for the 6th time. It "only" took him 56 minutes to complete the course. Oh, wow. See? Meditate on that. Hope that helps you some. Someday, you'll thank mee.

Hahaha! I had a similar experience (not the "I raised nine kids" part) as I finished college. I'm looking forward to some experimentation, and I would be thrilled if I could deal with arthritis without over-dependence on NSAIDS. I promise I won't start babbling about pairings, CBC percentages, or my latest hand-blown bong. (People can be insufferable about everything from kids to wine to fitness events; I'm sure this is no different.)

i got some good advice from a local meditation center director. very clear written policy and it made a lot of sense. there is the issue of smell and as a person very sensitive that is important. but also about begin present and aware to do the discussions and trainings.

i do think it is a good medicine but at a medicinal dose hopefully it won't make you loopy

The smell won't be an issue, because I'm hoping not to have to smoke it, but the loopiness...That remains to be seen.

Being present is kind of a requirement, I think, for a meditation group - being in an altered state defeats the whole purpose of that.
