I love this new apartment, my son says he is getting excited, and now in signing the paperwork I am kinda overwhelmed. I know the rent and the fees are standard based on looking at many websites, at least for very nice apartments, but whew. The pet thing has a monthly pet fee, standard, a deposit, standard but I also have to have a photo and proof of vaccinations and a vet visit. That is as much as I need to enroll a child in childcare. Then there is a fee if I don't get my utilities turned on (I am slowly moving in but I am sure I will have them). The overlapping rent that reduces my stress and allows me to avoid a large moving company fee is something I need to just deal with but it will be a rough month. I need a new couch as well, the other one was ready for the trash. We might sit on cushions a couple months.
On the plus side utilities should be lower and I can drop my gym membership because there is an exercise room and if I stay more than a year I won't have to pay all this all over again.
Okay, I need to apply for the supervisor position at work so I can survive without living in the ghetto after child support.
