Their margin of victory seems to have surprised the pundits.

Mr. Cameron would seem to have his work cut out for him. If polls are to be believed, a big chunk of the British population seems interested in leaving the EU, and a big chunk of Scotland seems interested in leaving Britain.

The break-up of the EU seems almost inevitable. I think Britain and Germany are finding it a little more expensive than they originally envisioned. Socialism works that way if you're one of the producers. Pretty nice for everyone else, though.
