trying not to run to starbucks with a novel and just pretend it will all clean itself. and there is (flipping, blankety blank) snow. really? it will go away fast since it is only 8 am and i already see melting.

i have the one cleaned out room that has a goodwill box, a couple small furniture items that i was going to put out with free signs (but rain and snow, really) i have half the basement that is getting there but there is still small furniture items. My idea is to move all the small furniture items and start vacuuming and carpet cleaning at least that side. i got a couple real moving boxes, good for fitting the record albums and making sure the box does not get too heavy, and putting every random thing in them in each area. they will be the last junk box. every time i think that the room is cleared there is more. my son is sleeping off prom, i feel bad it snowed for them.

Here is the schedule, tomorrow the movers come for big stuff. i need to figure out how to take apart my bed. then i need to move all the other small things they aren't taking (trying to be frugal with the movers time) and CLEAN, omg that is going to kill me. i still work all week with only a few hours off, my mom will be here late friday so we can clean saturday. i may have to go coach at a soccer tournament since they changed the date and my coaches can't go.

i am thinking about focusing on what makes me feel the most successful at this point, there is almost no way to take time this week so no matter what this is going to hurt a little.

okay weekend retreat the 29th-31st!! something to look forward to

I'm glad that you have a retreat coming that you can focus on. You definitely have a lot to do this week, and I hope your kids will pitch in and help...just like you have helped them over the years. Play the guilt card if you must...you need more hands on deck! Good luck with everything.

my middle kiddo was going to come over and see the new place today, i told her that also meant picking up boxes at the old place and coming over with them. She is totally willing to do that, and we got over 9 inches of snow last night! So i am flexible, my mom is coming next weekend and i will have lots of help then since i asked kids to take time off when she is here.

funny thing, usually moms say how long they were in labor and how painful it was. My middle kid was born in 1 hour, almost in the elevator (they held her in) and then i went home in about 5 hours. she more than made up for the easy birth with teenage years however.
