retreat weekend

i had a (buddhist) retreat weekend this last weekend, a very close group of women and it was wonderful and amazingly intense and exhausting. things tend to blowup around retreat weekends, and i got a work call on Friday morning, i had down all my work ahead, arranged with my staff to take care of things, was available reasonably by phone and didn't tell my supervisors. so the issue was data and i did that wednesday night, but there was a glitch and the upload could not be put off. So i did the data fix and included a back up spreadsheet in case there were any other issues. i got emails back from all my supervisors about the issue and i kept taking time but got grumpy and told them i had a family issue, i had made arrangements at my site and included any data in my email but did not have access to enter it myself. the end result was that they got the last 5 students out of 90 entered, and the upload was fine.

So i am struggling a bit with that, waiting for consequences, and still not ready to jump into regular human interactions.

i have a weekend in early september and a 10 day september where we are outdoors oriented. some of the same people will be there, ahhhhh

Buddist Retreat. It sounds like there is a parallel between wimmins Buddist Retreats, and guys going to National Guard Duty on weekends. Except that you don't get paid, do you?
