We've never had such a wet spring. My garden is waaaaaay behind and struggling to not die because of it being wet ALL THE TIME. I think we've had about 10" of rain this month. This has never happened here before.
It makes me sad. My garden is so important to me.....for lots of reasons. Nothing much I can do about it though. At least we won't starve if I don't get much from the garden. Having 35 acres of woods/fields, it's neat to see what things appreciate "too much" rain, while others don't. My young white pines are rotting at the top. Red Admiral butterflies are in record numbers. Invasive vines are growing like crazy. Wild raspberries and mulberries are better and more in numbers than ever. The "weeds" and grasses in the field are growing tall. Woodcocks are showing up a lot, because of the weeds growing tall. I guess it's that yin-yang thing. Gotta just go with the flow...........
