i got a samsung galaxy core. i think i will like it. i was so close to getting a small i-phone and then i realized that $15 difference per month for cute and a feature or two really wasn't that great a deal. Now i need to learn how to use this, my work email is being difficult right now but the gmail accounts i have are easy.

BTW the salesman at the first store i went to was plain wrong. he said there were no smaller phones and i found at least 2 new phones that are smaller than mine. Also when you go to the larger verizon store you can get flip phones, old school texting phone without the touch screen, and they billed my account. Apparently there are 'corporate' stores and then other stores? Basically the larger store has salespeople who know what they are talking about and have some sales skills. i am really glad that i took my time with this,

When he said there were no smaller phones, he just left out the in the store part. Salesman equals selective truth.

oh yeah, i left when he didn't have anything i could use since i know there are always other ways. when i found out all i needed to do was go to another store a mile away i debated calling back and telling him that. i didn't remember his name however.

it seems that no one knows there are different tiers of verizon stores. i was talking to someone last night and that is going to help her mother who wants a slider style phone and just didn't think she could replace her phone with that. i am sharing this everywhere now, they are not going out of their way to advertise it.

Verizon, like the other major carriers, has both company-owned stores and "partner"/"affiliate"/"third-party" stores which are authorized to sell and service their stuff but aren't company-owned. Kind of like franchised businesses don't always have the features of the bigger company stores. IME company-owned stores are the better place to get information, advice, and service. The only reason to visit a non-company store is extreme convenience or necessity.
