View Full Version : Microhousing in my city

I decided to search for micro-apartments in Winnipeg and came across these two projects. Unfortunately the websites aren't the greatest (or my computer is too slow). I remember driving by the Centre Village one and wondering what the hell it was. Kind of funny looking, but I like the little apartment sizes. I don't think I'll apply as I'm low income by choice only, and don't feel like committing to a lease, but it's interesting to find out about.

I know the Pocket Houses were supposed to help address the homelessness problem. There are too many people living outside year round here - it's pretty crazy. I don't know if they ever made more of them. There might be a few buildings around. But there hasn't been any major homelessness and housing initiative, unlike some other cities.
