So far i have made it into the school year, my programs are booming, i need to find staff to fill some gaps, and i am learning a lot with my job coach about how to do things so i am not consistently bugging someone. Last night i was sent something about a meeting today for a program i thought i had declined, however my name is on the list. i wanted to ask if i needed to go or was this for people who signed up, etc. So she told me just go, change my other meetings and don't make a big deal. kay, i never would have thought much about questions being a negative thing.

and just as i was realizing the need to build allies one of my favorite people turned in her notice. After 11 years and excellent work i feel like they moved her around until she left (think office space). She had agreed to be my organizational mentor. A safe person to ask questions when i got confused. i can see more clearly when i get confused, over the weekend on a retreat i was late back from hiking because we had a long talk about when to be at the cars and when we would be back at our home base and then changed it a couple times. i thought this was only at work however i can see this is not unusual or a huge character flaw. At work i have more checks and balances in place.

i am going to still look at an advanced position because not everyone probably thinks i suck. i have a reputation for being passionately supportive in some areas and the thing i heard in my review was to focus and prioritize rather than trying it all. My job coach said to apply even when there is a poor review, to not let them think i am not trying. (at least if i really want the job)

you have passion and you are trying so hard to fit into the confines of your organization. Keep up the good work!
