Not that anyone here cares, but DH is in Perry's St. Louis audience and he has dropped out of the presidential race.

That's good news around these parts.

Hey, I think Perry provided good contrast to the "Throw out those illegal Mexican bums" rhetoric. That is the single thing I respected about Perry, he governed a huge border state and had a view that we need to consider.

Perry couldn't field a question to save his life, but neither can Trump. I found myself liking some of his positions.

I don't like Perry but I am surprised he's out so fast

"Snoozer" Bush sucked the big buck$ out of the race early-on. Then Trump sucked all the media time. There are just too many candidates to be able to realistically fund that BILLION dollars everyone needs for the duration of such a long campaign season. And as Trump remarked about Perry in July, "he put glasses on so people would think he was smart". Too funny!

I watched the debate where Rick Perry couldn't remember what departments he'd get rid of in the federal government. He was toast then and will forever be. Just one character in the cast of clowns that Republicans are fielding this time around. I laughed out loud when Dick Morris predicted a landslide victory for Mitt Romney in 2012. It is actually such a shame that the Republican Party has come to this.

I'm kinda ok with this, I shouldn't be- we need a two party (or more) system, but in my heart, I'm fine with the crazy mobile this time.

Ricky had some private issues that would have come to the front and I think the big money guys new that. According to many, if you want to know who the eventual nominee will be, look to Karl Rove and see what he's up to.

I remember Karl sitting on the podium of one of the news orgs during the last election, claiming that Romney could still pull it off when in fact it was all over, long over, so far over, Karl.

Then and there I gave upon him as Machiavellian all knowing predictor of the universe.
