I've lurked here a few times this year, and thought I'd check in. I still recognize a lot of names, even after 3 years or so.

I'm mulling over a career transition/semi-retirement, certainly within 4 years. But nothing paying less money before the final college tuition bill is paid!

Much as I've enjoyed being online over the years, Facebook doesn't seem to be a healthy full-time avocation. Hence, semi-retirement, which could be something to mull over here.

On the whole, aging hasn't been hard on my body. The rest of me, well...

Not sure I'll stay around, but will stop by over the next few days.

Hello, there! I know what you mean about Facebook. I pretty much stay on it for a few private groups I'm part of. I've gutted my profile and there's nothing personal on there any more.

Thanks, good to hear from all of you! Can't say we're living very simply these days, but healthy and resonably solvent is good.

Facebook is a real mixed bag for me. There are some very good parts of it, but it is sad to find out how bitter some people really are.

Yes, all is well. The boys are now men. Everyone survived military service, even me. The youngest is a senior in college. We are loving the empty nest. My job is still the same but I enjoy it. Like Bronxboy, I can't say that I'm living simply except that I still loathe clutter and stuff. I have been indulging in more clothes lately but I think that was pent up demand.
