This is a little goofy, but I think it could yield some insights and be fun. This woman suggested putting little notes into a jar for a month (a year? perhaps...) that say what brings her happiness -- both the calm contented kind and the wild fun kind. Then after the month (or year) you take the notes out and see what really makes you happy and if you have been prioritizing them and if you will the next month (or year).

It is a great idea to explore. I would think that I would have a hard time wording my wishes at times.
I started this in January after seeing it on Face book. I'm not big into little bits of paper so I put them on index cards, date each day and write one in. It's amazing how many of mine have to do with nature from my screened in porch. I've done it every day and am pleased with the idea and that I actually am doing it.

A friend and I each did that for a year and then exchanged them.

Excellent reflection! :)

My daughter is doing this, but putting in things she'd like to do someday.
I've tried journalling gratitude but it feels artificial for me. Instead I like to think of each happy moment before I go to bed. I have good dreams :)
