View Full Version : I am the toilet queen
our toilet has been cranky lately, some times working fine, sometimes flooding. So today I bought a proper toilet auger and I won't go into details, but it involved a hand, a rubber glove and some fortitude. My dh couldn't get it to work, but I DID.
Now I don't want to get too cocky as it hasn't stood the test of time, but do I feel EMPOWERED. I used a tool and I made something work.
This could be addicting. What next?

You go girl!
I am the toilet queen
Hurrah for the toilet queen!
It is, it is a glorious thing
To be the toilet queen.
Sorry, that popped in my head when I saw your post's title. Hope you're a Gilbert & Sullivan fan.
It's Niagara Falls in that bowl. I realize that since we moved into this old house that toilet hasn't been moving as fast as it could. Now the waves sweep the toilet bowl and I am still the toilet queen.
Kally was often quite mean
As her toilet would never flush clean
With her hand and an auger
She split the poo loggers
And now she's the Toilet Bowl Queen

ha ha ha, quite brilliant Selah
Just to let you know - I am STILL the toilet queen and the Furnace Fury.
Furnace wouldn't go on this a.m. so I researched on line. My dh did help me, but I changed the batteries in the thermostat and changed the filter and it worked again.
I am so stoked to think that I don't have to always bring in the tradesmen to do this stuff. Thank you internet.
Good job!
I still take kudos for crawling around under the crawlspace to replace all the duct work for our heat/air unit. And it's been over 15 year! Take all the toilet glory you can get!!
A gal who was called Furnace Fury,
Caused men of repair endless worry.
She fixed it so fast,
No plumber could last,
Then she murdered that toilet bowl slurry
Thank you Selah. You are delightful.
Kally, you are my hero! I was kinda proud of myself for just replacing a toilet flapper thingy. Baby steps!

This thread reminded me of all the women who worked in various factories throughout the world during WWII. Almost everything we fought with was made by a woman. So yeah, toilet bowls are definitely within the skill level.
beckyliz I need to replace a flappy thing too. My new quest.
