This month I'm working on seasonal items.
1-20. seasonal cloth napkins. I'm kind of done with the themed napkins I've made over the years. I sorted through my drawer of cloth napkins, I'm counting it as 20 though there were 120 that I pulled out to pass along. Yes, that many. I've always made my own napkins and we use them daily. I call it napkin-therapy. Always picking up fabric and adding some new ones to the bowl on the table or the drawer in the buffet. It's just reached the point of too many.
21-22. decorative turkeys
23-24. 2 pair garden gloves that did more than their duty
25-27 flower pots (beyond useless)
28. bird feeder (trashed and done)
1 full can of air freshner I didn't like-gone . I set it in the galley at work and someone took it.
The local consignment sales lady is having another sale later this month focusing on holiday items. DD and I went through our Christmas decorations and have decided to get rid of a bunch, so I'm pricing them to go, including some Hallmark ornaments I bought when I worked there (Oh, these will be worth $$$ someday! Not). I estimate there are about 60 items that will be out the door on the 17th.
Sold an old Victorian wall mirror that had been languishing in a dark corner for years. $175 in my bag lady stash. I like this getting rid of stuff:)
Gave four of my daughter's old dresses to a friend with a new 20-month-old foster child. Total for month: 4.
15 of my daughter's old books to a neighbor.
3 gifts I bought for my stepfather six months ago (!!!) mailed off to him.
2 gifts I bought for my brother six months ago mailed off to him.
Returned a dress I bought but didn't like.
I'm counting these gifts and the returned dress because it's become increasingly clear to me that not returning things I buy and don't like and buying gifts for people then never sending them are two major sources of clutter for me. So, some progress today.
New total for month: 25.
I actually had two other gifts I got a friend that I finally gave her today, so new total for month: 27.

29-31 Out grown size 14 teenage boy shoes (when will they stop growing? they are 18 &19 already)
32 a woodburning kit (why do I have 2?)

42-45 books
46 breakfast tray
47 a stack of old photos mailed to a friend who worked in the same program (an x-wife of his had destroyed all his photos)
48 coffee travel mug (after cleaning all the yuck out of the stopper mechanism)
Took 15 things to Goodwill yesterday. New total for month: 42.

49-52 4 old photo albums, sorted and pulled what photos I wanted and tossed the albums and rest of the photos
53-55 duplicate crochet hooks
56-57 balls of yarn overage from a project
58 scarf
59-61 3 miss-matched gloves

Float On, I can tell you're still looking critically at every category you touch, and discarding the extras. Way to go!
I'm on break next week, and can't wait to get back to my decluttering!

We purged the most challenging part of our cupboard this morning: Herbs, Spices & Miscellaneous Foodstuffs. Got rid if lots of ancient seasonings that probably are as tasty as dust at this point. Now it's so much easier to find the things we actually use!
62-67 Was gifted a Thanksgiving Dinner basket by husband's employer. I don't like using canned veggies or boxed stuffing so those are going to the local food pantry.
68 basket the above dinner was gifted in. I don't need a basket.
69-71 3 pair of pants I'm not interested in wearing anymore.
72-74 a few more winter skirts I'm not going to wear this year.
75-77 A few christmas bags and wrapping supplies I rec'd last year after purging my Christmas supplies. I won't need these since I use re-usable cloth bags and ribbons I made 10 years ago. Plus we've cut our list down even further. All Christmas wrap stuff is now stored in one 12x12 fabric cube box.
78-79 Glass vase and glass bowl sold out of our remaining "stock" ($480 earned will pay for property tax owed on cars)
80-81 Found another 2 boxes of business cards - tossed in recycling (kept just a handfull)

actually the Star Trek Hallmark ornament that our friend gave Dh 20 some years ago DOES go for $100+ on eBay. It went up in value. Plus, it is cool,it has nice features and good scale and articulation of plastic parts.
But vadt legions of other "collectibles" can't be sold for anything.

I finished cleaning/purging/reorganizing the kitchen cupboard and under-the-sink cabinets. I'm really pleased; I have 3 boxes of miscellaneous stuff ready to go to the SA, and our kitchen storage is a lot cleaner and better organized, with what we use most often being much more easily accessible.

Today threw away stray unpaired socks and old underwear from my daughter's drawers for a total of 19. New total for month: 61.
82-86 how did I acquire so many live tree christmas stands? Left overs from our days of owning a Christmas Tree Farm. My parents were always sending another stand home with me. I helped dad clear out another 12 from their attic while I was home over Thanksgiving.
87-88 2 baseball bats
89-90 2 tennis rackets (need restrung anyway)
91-92 2 camp chairs (plastic has gone brittle)
93-94 coolers (parents keep acquiring and sending home with me - at least they keep my freezer full of farm beef and venison)
95-100 5 various clothing items (sweaters, scarfs, pants, shirts)
Another month done. One more month to go! December is going to be hard!

For November: I was on a roll on Saturday!!
Whole bags/boxes of stuff, counting each as "10"
2 x 10- bags of paper recycled
2 x 10- bags of paper shredded
1 x 10- box of magazines to the hospital
3 x 10- boxes of books to school today
1 x 10- nest of saved boxes, to recycling
1 x 10- bag of odds and ends to my daughter (surprise, she kept most of it)
11 - items of winter clothing that I know I won't wear, out to Goodwill.
Total: 100 for November, and 11 more for the 11th month, lol.
