Not simple at all! But so much fun - I'm in love :)
She's a 9 week-old Border Collie. Smart as a whip and full of mischief.

Extreme cuteness!
and good luck with that smartness. I prefer my dogs a little goofy and none too smart, they are easier to live with.:~)
Lol, she's got a look that says, "Hmmm ... I wonder what I can get away with here." Congratulations, what a cutie.

Oh she is so beautiful! I've always thought it would be nice to have a Border Collie around to keep things under control around here.

Her name is Poppy and we got her on Thanksgiving day from Craigslist - things didn't work out with her first family and they needed to pass her on quickly. I've been wanting a dog of my own for a while and have checked out lots of others, made weekly trips to the pound - but when I saw Poppy I knew she was the one.
Yes, my daughter has an Italian Greyhound and the two are getting along remarkably well.
Our older dog taught Poppy how to use the dog door the very first day, and she's about 90% house trained now. She'll come, sit, lie down, fetch (and drop!) Very sharp little teeth, though. She gets insane for an hour or so in the afternoon and it's like having a rabid raccoon. But she's going to be a very fine dog. So cuddly!

She looks scary smart, Gardenarian. And gorgeous.
She is adorable!!! Do you have experience with a border collie? They are the smartest dogs! My dog is a border collie mix (similar markings to Poppy) and she is so smart.. her herding instincts are great, too--she's a great trail dog and we can take her off leash almost anywhere because she stays right near us.
Good luck with her, and thanks for sharing the picture!

I have no experience with border collies at all!
We've had Italian greyhounds for the past 25 years; they are very meek, mostly indoor dogs, and a bit like cats in that they don't respond well to voice commands.
I'm reading up! As soon as she is fully vaccinated we'll start dog school; I'm looking forward to it.
She is a darling! Congratulations!

Talk about cute!!! Reminds me of the dog on "Little House on the Prairie".
Nothing better then a puppy! You and her are very lucky to have found each other.
My niece had a border collie and she and her partner kept track of how many words the dog knew. I don't remember the exact number but it was A LOT!
