What motivates me...Money?? Just kidding...How about a purge along? Does that sound right? LOL Maybe post your own purging efforts. :) Your reasons for purging. We can do this.

Jewell, my big areas for today are getting rid of the basement carpet - just talked to the trash people about how I should do that since it's coming out in pieces that aren't going to make 4' long rolls, and making some more progress on the plaster molds for my class.

so, I'm going to go get my trash cans, wash some molds, and check back in on you.

I just went out to the alley and threw away 12 items of rescue dog stuff. I was unable to pass on all of the stuff at our recent meet up. I'll be damned if I store it for another day.

I still have an entire garbage bag of new t-shirts, a nice set of stainless steel dog bowls, a food container, and 3 baby gates to keep, hoping to pass them on to another dog person in our rescue group.

Great job iris lilies!!! I made it to 77 today. I have to quit because I have school tonight and I have to go get my son. :)

1. Watch a few declutter videos on youtube. That always gets me going.
2. Enter a room and start to the left of the door and work your way all around the room and in every hidey-hole, shelf, closet, etc.
3. Think outside the box (house). Clean out your purse, car, garage, email.

I know you are pretty minimilist already. Maybe what you really want to do is clean something - windows, sliding door track, baseboards, etc. If that's the case watch an episode of that compulsive cleaners show (BBC) where the cleaner goes and helps a clutterbug/hoarder. Maybe it's time to volunteer your skills to an organization or person that needs some help being tidy. I recently organized and purged the kitchen at church...what is with people bringing their expired food items to church thinking we can use it?

I have no idea why autocorrect thinks I wanted to call you "Jewell". But what the heck.

Trash cans are in the garage waiting for me to redo the carpet (I can't put a small - about 20 lbs - roll of carpet in a can and have it dumped, but I can put up to 40lbs of carpet in a black plastic bag and gave it picked up.) - so, have to get bags.

I carried in 15 molds and have washed 7 of them. 15 is a pretty good number for one day if I get them all washed.

I'm doing some hard stuff.

Dh just bought me two new dresses which motivated me to attack my closet again.

I purged 3 regular dresses (down one) and am finally letting go of the beautiful costume dress my friend made for me almost 22 years ago. I love it, it's soft and cozy, it looked great on me, but I was pregnant, it does not look great on me now - it hangs, and I don't attend renaissance feasts in cold weather anymore. Gotta get to goodwill before I lose my nerve though. And I found 4 pairs of jeans to pass on (dh bought me 4 nicer pairs that fit better for work in the fall) and a shirt - down 1.

The other hard thing I'm doing is taking down and putting away the Christmas decorations. This is hard because I am putting everything that belongs to ds into a box to move to Wisconsin in May. And I wish he wasn't moving away. I realize it is really late to take down Christmas decorations, but I've been putting it off because of that box, and we put them out a couple days before Christmas, so I wasn't tired of them yet.

Howdy y'all..been a busy week with school and I went to visit an Old friend in Austin. I plan on getting back at it tomorrow. I have some new ideas as to where I can purge in my life. :) Will be back. :)

My friend came over yesterday and I gave her dozen jars, most of the windows that we replaced in the house (for cold frames) and a few Christmas ornaments.

i also fed the Christmas tree to the goats.

load of carpet goes up today, but that's it - I have a full day at school.

I met my goal!!! And then some!!! I have been really ruthless and it's been awesome!!! Thanks for all the ideas, input and good ju ju. :)
