How about business plans for the creative? I have a loose idea and am doing lots of background work to launch my ideas. I know that it is worse to start and not follow through than to wait. However some of these ideas needed to wait a little. I love to create on large sheets of paper, like the poster sticky notes we have at work, and they are over $30 a pad! So not going to buy those.
The mindfulness with youth thing, that seems to be where my heart is more than this manager job. I am almost certain I am not getting an interview however I got a little traction on the mindfulness work. We had a chance to write some responses to our sups in our last big meeting day. One question was what skills we had or wanted to develop that they were not supporting. I put down that I had been offering my skills and education in training for 3 years and still did not have an opportunity to do this. My 'where I want to be' was leading mindfulness as it integrates with education. So I am supposed to join a behavior management training to do some mindfulness work.
So I am looking at a blog, getting some good advice through other blogs! haha, I already have a meetup group and have been working with MailChimp accounts for newsletters. I am planning on charging the meetup members after the first few meetings for my facilitating and training I am bringing in. Not 100% sure this will make up my income gap however I love talking about all of this and it beats a weekend job at Target if I eventually make some money. (I also put out feelers to a colleague who always needs more swim instructors on the weekends).
Right now I am writing a few blogs and saving them so I have some material, found a worksheet for the 'about me' section, and I will say this work is fun!
