Like I said I have both good and bad news. Apparently Rubio is now toast......probably helping Cruz and Trump's numbers, but I'm still grateful. Rubio had proposed replacing elderly Supreme Court justices with conservative ones to repeal the same sex marriage victory. Obviously that would be a low blow for me and at least this (passing on the word as befits my position as moderator) looks to be gone with the wind. Can't say I'm sorry to see it happen.....Rob

Rob,
Dont worry, the Republican Party can't figure out what it stands for. There is no one that can carry the vote in the primary. And it doesn't matter anyway. The only interesting candidate on the Dem side is not the choice of Wall Street so chances are good you'll get all the lip service you can handle. No revolution. More of the same of everything. If it gets ugly enough, nobody will care what color, you are, who you prefer to sleep with and where your prayers go. Survival. Food, water, shelter, heat.

I don't know if any of them are particularly likely to do that, but as I understand it, Cruz is far more of a serious religious-right theocracy person, while Rubio is just a shameless pandering type. I'm not sure it's the pandering type I would fear most really ... Whatever Rubio or any of them may campaign on: since when can we believe a politician's campaign promises? Since never I think. Now their voting record may be more reliable (although they play games with this like vote trading so people in vulnerable position are seen to vote the popular way, so it's not really trustable entirely either), but of course we have little to go on with Rubio.
Plenty of people will care what color you are etc. if things get ugly, or there would never have been historical and even present day fascism. But complete collapse is about as unlikely as revolution. Economic problems sure, but better to handle the contingencies of the world that is (how to best handle being unemployed for instance - and yes your savings account WILL probably still have value) and only if you have time left over from that worry about far flung contingencies like complete collapse of the entire system (if that were to happen it would be environmental probably I'd bet) .... or whether to fight in the revolution I guess ....

Apparently Rubio is now toast......
I guess we'll see over the next few months. However, I would be reluctant to give too much credence to pundits pontificating. Especially when so many seem to be in the tank for Mrs. Clinton. But the American electoral system, much like the stock market, seems to exist to make jackasses out of prognosticators.

I see Mrs. Clinton has her proxies promising "a special place in Hell" for women who don't fall into line. Although to be fair, I suspect Mrs. Clinton's version of Hell most resembles flying coach.

Mrs. Clintons path to the White House might be easier if she self identified with being a man, grew some chin hair and began womanizing. Instead of first woman President, we could have first transsexual President. Now that would be progressive and something most Dems would get behind.

It is pretty rare that the Supreme Court reverses itself.

I am happy he is gone, never seemed trustworthy to me. I read somewhere how he had used Jeb Bush and then backstabbed him.
One less sleazebag.
I am happy he is gone...
I don't think anyone has told him yet.
