Starting new position tomorrow

I am excited to be starting a new position tomorrow. It is with the same organization I've been with for the past 5+ years, but in a different area of the organization. It is a promotion in responsibility, budget, staffing, title, salary, etc. and in an area I am very energized about. I applied for the position back in November with 1st interviews taking place in January and 2nd in February. I needed about six weeks to transfer out of my current position. I will miss my current position as I have great staff and we do very meaningful work. And my commute has doubled:-) I currently walk about a 1 mile to work and my new office is 2.6 miles so I will get my activity up:-)

That sounds great! It is wonderful to have these things recognized. I understand about leaving good relationships but it sounds like you are good at that, so once you get settled it could be a new set of relationships

Thanks for the congrats:-) Day two and it is going great. Really a great group of people who are very dedicated to the population we serve. So glad I made the change and so busy I haven't had much time to think about my previous position:-)
