Though I think very little of Ted Cruz since he proved he's completely out of touch with everyday people via carelessly tossing aside his second citizenship/Canadian passport as if it were no big deal - I have to give him this. Interesting VP choice.....at a rally in Indianapolis Cruz announced that Carly Fiorina would be his running mate. What do you'll think of Fiorina as his VP choice? Rob

She has a vagina. That seems to be important to a lot of voters.

Well I thought one of my FB friends was very witty when under the the news item that Cruz had picked Fiorina as his running mate, commented "they must be doing a five k together." :)

Ya know, despite being perhaps the most liberal liberal on here this bothers me.

When it comes to dating, the other person having a vagina is important to me.

But when it comes to voting, I don't care about that. I only care about their policies and plans for governing.

This is because politics is simply a person trying to prove they have the biggest penis.

You really don't buy that crap about policies and plans for governing do you?

The reason Fiorina was chosen was that she shows all the characteristics of an alpha male and I think Ted might have a fantasy about that.

I thought she put in a pretty good performance in the early debates.

I hadn't realized that this pre-convention VP naming thing had ever happened before. Then I came across an article that pointed out that Reagan did this same thing when he was behind on delegates going into the '76 convention, hoping that a pre-convention VP announcement would generate enough excitement to cause him to win a brokered convention. I suppose Ted has the same thoughts, but the cynic in me also thinks he picked her because she comes from the state with the largest number of delegates that has not yet had their primary/caucus.

I can't seem to wake up from this never ending bad dream.Agreed. This election cycle is proving to have more twists and turns in the plot than the juiciest Mexican telenovela. Rob

"Cruz hopes to tap into intense popularity of Carly Fiorina." --Andy Borowitz
It's good for at least a few laughs; I can hardly think of a less appealing duo. Leopold and Loeb? Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo?

ApatheticNoMore

Yep noone is less appealing (she came across as an insane warmonger in the debates, crazy crazy crazy woman itching for major war, that needed to be put in a straight jacket at a mental asylum, not debating in front of a crowd). Just about the last person I'd ever vote for on that stage if I had to vote for one after another on penalty of death.

Leopold and Loeb?

I think I'd vote for that over Cruz/Fiorna or even Hillary. To defeat Trump ... no ... but Cruz/Fiorina yes Leopold and Loeb sound really good right about now. It's a never ending nightmare, but at least Trump consistently winning seems good compared to this duo.

The only thing standing between Trump and the Presidency is the Republican National Committee. Even when the Democrats hand them the election on a silver platter, they manage to screw it up which is why voting for any one of them is insanity. The RNC will likely field a third candidate.

Oh geez........have you seen her singing that little ditty on stage? crazy, crazy stuff........on top of other crazy stuff. I love the nightly comedians with some of this stuff. Larry Willore, after seeing her singing said "How hard is it to be f**king normal?????!!!" :laff:

I work in the IT industry, and I can tell you that Carly is universally regarded as a joke (or maybe a punchline). Her sole claim to fame is running a once-proud company into the ground. The only blow for women she ever struck was showing that a woman can be every bit as shamelessly careerist as any man.

Her little ditty as you put it was cringe material and quite embarassing. I bet she's enjoying this brief resurgence in the limelight though.....Rob

I couldn't stop laughing when she started singing. Lots of fodder for the late night shows. SNL has been doing some really funny political skits.

Agreed. Much easier to listen to than John Ashcroft singing Let the Eagle Soar (a ditty he wrote himself, btw). A friend of mine said she sounded like she was auditioning for a nanny position.

Did you really have to mention Ashcroft's song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ I'll probably have nightmares about that tonight.

The consensus on YouTube seems to be that Carly really raised the creep factor with her little ditty seemingly out of nowhere. I'd agree with this assessment though I'd bet Carly knows geography better than Sarah Palin does. And Carly could hold her own in an interviews unlike Palin. But still creepy nonetheless. She's making Hillary look less unattractive as a President at the moment.....

But she actually has less experience to be hired for the job than Palin. Palin had at least held a political position, if not the most relevant. Carly's resume of public office is a complete blank.

A woman who ran companies into the ground can do differently for the USA? Really? And how about her inaccuracies of Planned Parenthood? God save us all if she gets near the whitehouse!

Thankfully that's not much more likely than when we were debating Ben "pyramid's were for grain storage" Carson a few months ago.

Well, Trump had multiple bankruptcies - I've also read there was an article noting he would have made more money during his career by just taking the money he had and leaving it in a savings account. Just shows people overlook what they want to overlook.

I wondered why he did it just because we're now in the mud slinging phase of the election, and 2 people present a bigger target.

Who would ever think we'd long for the likes of Richard Nixon? He stands head and shoulders above today's Republicans--paranoia and all.

"Desperately" being the operative word.

I don't like him for the WhiteHouse either. I didn't mention that because this thread was about her.
