Been doing that for ages. When I sit down to write my to-do, I always list a few done, just so I can mark them off. It's more motivating.

I remember a glorious period at work when we were zipping through projects of long standing that were finally being addressed. I came to work each Friday in anticipation of crossing off tasks on "Get it Done" Friday. I loved making that line through the task on my white board.
