got the best compliment about my kid

I went to the grocery store that my son works at. I saw him to ask where tofu was and one of his co-workers was there with him. I heard so many wonderful things about him! First off when he first met her he called her M'am. So nice to hear, you never really know what your kids do when they are grown up. I heard a lot about how he has wonderful manners and she is encouraged for the younger generation.

I am very happy that all my kids are good people, they are nice and have good manners, fair to people and emotionally mature (of course that is total momma pride but I hear it from other people as well). I used to hear surprise from other parents that they were so well mannered. Meanwhile I was well aware that between the way my kids dressed and being a divorced mom that it was easy to judge us. People are not so subtle about these things.

That's wonderful, Zoe Girl. Makes all those years of hard work of socializing your kids worth it when you see how they mature into wonderful adults, and it's even nicer to hear compliments from a stranger.

I may not give the best material gifts to my kids because of financial constraints but I make sure to teach them good manners and raise them to grow up with attitude of gratitude :) Good job Zoe Girl!
