Organizing

In light of my situation at home, I decided to focus on what I can control.

I have started making a list of what would I really take when I leave. There I said it..WHEN I leave...

So I began purging some more stuff today. I have already taken a load to Goodwill and another will go tomorrow, mostly tchotskies and some clothing I found in a suitcase I had forgotten about. I am also deep cleaning my son's room. We have been talking a lot about what i truly important vs. what he just wants to have. He is a good kiddo. He brought me all of his stuffed animals, saved 3, to donate to a kids organization here. :)

I am moving into an RV. I let a lot go this round. I still have too much put in storage. It is a process.

OH!!! This sound interesting. One of my dreams..now maybe goals..has been to let my son graduate and then RV it down to the Gulf coast...year round. I would love to hear more about this. :)

My blog is shadowmoss.blogspot.com/ if you want to read. Right now it is almost painful. I'm in the dregs of packing up the bits and pieces and attempting to fit into the storage unit(s). Silly me thought Mom and I could fit all out stuff into a 10x15 unit, but her stuff was over half and I have more stuff than she does. So I also have a 10x10 unit. I've tossed a bunch, donated a bunch, still worried that the cats will have issues. The toilet needs replaced now (the RV is a 1983 Class C). I move into it with the cats on Wednesday... Turn over the keys here at the end of the month sometime after the 20th. Mom is here helping me pack...

I am looking at school districts, as I need to keep my self employed and my child in school. But the process is starting..and I am VERY excited!!!!

If your getting a divorce (need to go through that whole thread, trying to get caught up here), make sure you think about sales, more then donating. If it is worth something, then you will need that money towards legal fees, rent (or possibly qualifing for a mortgage to buy the other half out, etc).

I took some nicer stuff to a consignment shop here. I also am selling some larger pieces of furniture that are mine from my family. Otherwise, I will be ok, promise. :) Thanks for the ideas though..keep 'em coming.

Yes, it's Independent School District, in Texas. :)
