The teacher glam is mine. I like a good combination of basics with a few fun things in there. I really edited my closet to match a lot of what you see in these boards. You will see a theme running through all of them. It's really helpful for someone like me who was no clue. : ) It also helps me simplify my closet.

The pictures are the one's I used to get started.

I love the style, I have a pretty small closet and dresser but everything in it fits well, matches with other things and is my style. I have added more scarves and dressy things over the last 2 years, but now it is summer camp so it is work polo and shorts every day! A clean look, and especially when everything fits well, always looks classy.

OHHH! Sounds lovely Zoe Girl!!!

I took the pictures and literally matched them up to what I had. Then I made a list of what I was missing. I substitute pink for red. I tried things on and wrote down my favorite combinations.

It was funny, when I was done, the pile of stuff that didn't fit into the style were the things that frustrated me the most.

I have a list that I am working on for the fall/winter, to purchase. It's maybe 5 pieces.

She has a "common wardrobe" of 12 or so pieces that form the backbone of a wardrobe. Most of them are very similar to the pieces shown here--a good pair of jeans, a white shirt, black pants, etc. Then she goes into a "core wardrobe" of 16 pieces, color-coordinated to work well together, and with the common wardrobe. She does a lot of sample core wardrobe, starting with a scarf or piece of art and working with the colors in those inspiration pieces. Then she shows you how they all can work together to make several different outfits.

When I'm starting to think I need new clothes, I pop back to her blog and read several entries--it inspires me to do more with the clothes I already have.

I will check this out!! Thank you. I will add, I bring my own "me" into by I have some motorcycle boots and a pink leather jacket. It's fun. I usually lay stuff on the bed and see what I can come up with. :)
