View Full Version : Salt water just as good as mouthwash?
Lately I find that the alcohol in Listerine and Act bother my stomach when used before bed. I also think they give me weird dreams. >:(
do you guys think gargling with warm salt water offers the same bacteria fighting benefits?
Try gargling with some baking soda added to water and then rinse. The soda neutralizes the acids from the bacteria and any leftover particles of food.
I'm wondering if it's really necessary to use anything?
I think the sugar we consume on a regular basis makes me feel that I should use something at least a few times a week. Right now I've been doing daily, sometimes twice a day and it probably is too much.
I cut the amount of Listerine in half and dilute it a bit (burns me). Also use slightly less Act.
