This article makes things look rather bleak for the Repubs.
But I have also seen numerous news sources touting Clinton's effort to recruit Republicans to back her, because Trump is so bad for the GOP.
Is this a fitting consolation prize? I know some Republicans have already jumped ship and said they will vote for Hillary, especially since she will have economic policies that help the very rich (and stick it to working families), which the GOP loves.
She is also a hawk, something the GOP establish likes.
Thoughts?

I heard some Wisconsin polling numbers this morning. About 80% of Republican voters say they will vote for Trump, and about 6% for Clinton. The rest say they will vote write-ins, third party or not at all. Wisconsin being considered a swing state, that's probably good news for Hillary. I myself consider Clinton to be every bit, if not more dreadful as her opponent, so will be among the miscellany.
We had a primary on Tuesday. In a couple of House races, a sitting democrat defeated a berniecrat and Paul Ryan beat a Trumpkin, both with over 80% of the vote.
Each time he makes one of his outrageous statements his popularity seem to drop a little more. I have wondered if consciously or subliminally he really doesn't want to be president and is just seeing how far he can go. Giving Hillary a good run does not seem that difficult but it's like he's blowing it on really simple obvious poor moves. If it looks like Hillary has a good lead going into the vote it will make it much easier for me to vote for a 3rd party.
it may be time to stock up on bullets if Trump gets in because the world will in be extreme chaos and our safety will be at risk.
I have been wondering if the RNC is planning any changes to its primary system.

They definitely need to figure out a way to make sure their base cannot get the kind of candidate they want up there. They need a system that allows the GOP's elitists to essentially pick the candidate.

If Trump is elected, he will still be just the President. We don't have a King in this country, he doesn't get to rule by fiat with uncontrolled powers. He's just the head of one of three equal branches of government.
So, I don't see how a large stockpile of bullets will be helpful or necessary in the Trump-gets-elected scenario - it won't be Mad Max the next day.

I read the democrats came up with that idea when they did not like the person that people picked to run for president. Now I can't remember which one it was though.
