It is going to be a super busy month! So I decided based on this wise Zen quote, " You should sit in meditation 20 minutes a day, unless you are really busy then you should sit for an hour". I am going for 45 minutes on weekdays and an hour or more on weekends. If you want to join me I am on Insight Timer (super nice free app with great features), message me for my real name,. This is a heck of a goal!

I have been meditating 20 minutes a day since Jan. 1st (my New Year's resolution). It was extremely challenging for about the first 5 months. Now it is a little more of a habit. I usually sit 20 mins in the morning, but once in a while I will break it up with walking meditation for ten mins and then sit for ten mins, and so forth.

I think I am going to set up my office for 'quiet time' daily. The last couple days have been school registration so I have been there 10 hours and totally on call the whole time. Starting next week I will be on call before and after school, but my mid-day is for other work and meetings. I can easily put a sign on my door and take 30 minutes of meditation. I am short staffed one morning person so I will be there from 6:15 am to 6:30 pm unless I want to make the 40 minute drive home, so I really need to plan breaks like meditation and a walk around the lake across the street. I even will sit in the park, not too near where the homeless tend to hang out, which is very nice.
