I have a male relative who is about to start chemo on September 19. I want to send him something to let him know we're thinking of him but am really struggling with what to send. He's in the USA and I'm currently in the UK so it would need to be something ideally I could order on a US website for delivery to him. I am trying to think of something that might actually be useful whilst he goes through this, all I can think of is some kind of ginger candy to help with the nausea. I'm just wondering if there's anyone who has been through this who could maybe advise as to what was useful to them at the time? Or any other ideas are welcome!

DH went through 15 weeks of chemo and found that being thought about was all he could handle. He wanted nothing as his appetite died and he found certain foods that he liked tasted awful. Send him a simple 'Thinking of You" and nothing more.

This. Regular notes, cards, and thoughts coming his way is the best thing.

as he gets into the chemo you could directly ask him if there is something he neds, but he may find that question a burdon, too.

Well, maybe I'm insensitive, but I am a fan of the gift card for food. He can save them for when he feels better. Others in the family can use them so they don't have to cook.
I probably am insensitive, but you can always put that kind of thing in a drawer.
If not food, an Amazon gift card for when he feels better.
In a friendly card, of course.

I'd go with an Amazon gift card and periodic notes and cards. Nothing he has to respond to.
