GNC sent me a $10 of 10 dollar purchase coupon today. Anyone want to recommend good dietary supplements there? Looks like I will get the stuff for free. (I used to get these types of coupons from a lot of stores that have recently GoB so it was a surprise to get this one in the mail).

Ive survived many decades without eating anything from a GNC store.

What makes you think you need what they are selling?

GNC doesn't sell food in my region and I wouldn't be buying anything since the coupon is for free stuff without any purchase.

Dont they sell vitamins and etc? You eat those, thats what I meant.

I looked at a Google page and they promote diet products including weight loss stuff, muscle building products, protein powders, vitamin and supplements.

which of these do you need, and why?

Please understand that I think this stuff is, for the most part, hokum.

Supplements may be ok if you have a specific condition to treat. For instance anti-depressant supplements (do really work for some, do little for me), probiotics after a course of antibiotics (I like the drinkable probiotics though - the only kind I really tolerate), anti-urinary tract infection supplements etc.. Some will recommend a multivitamin although it's debated, but it's probably a decent use of a coupon if you are basically healthy as is. I distrust the origin of many supplements, many seem made in China etc. as far as I've heard. And nah I've never shopped at a GNC, don't buy many supplements but if I need them pick them up while grocery shopping, but then that's probably not so easy to do in nowheresville, it's easy in an urban area.

Here is how I view coupons. If they are trying so hard to get people in the store, is their product really worth it? Ditto for companies that spend loads on media advertising.
