View Full Version : Cute house alert!
As many of you know, I have twin towns that I'm in love with--Burlington VT and Ocean Grove NJ.
Well, look at this Ocean Grove beauty (http://www.trulia.com/property/3162950375-3-Pennsylvania-Ave-Ocean-Grove-NJ-07756#photo-10)! I lived right near by when I rented a house for 6 weeks a few years back, and the area is great--but then again, Ocean Grove is God's Happy Square Mile, so there aren't any parts that aren't great.

That is cute. Love the style of the interior too!

The cuteness is almost too much to bear!
Very well done. Much too small for me--double that size with a garage would be fine. Great vacation getaway!

The house is adorable, but after the footprint of the house is removed, you have less than 200 sq ft of yard. I'd feel like I was in an apartment.

cute!
Well you sure get more for your money in Burlington, although I lived in Middletown as a kid so I appreciate the Jersey seashore.

Very cute! I could live there alone but not with DH-too small.
Check this one out--comes with its own rental unit :

oh I cringe at the cost per square foot:0! I'll stick with the mountains.

The prices are totally insane!
They looked reasonable to me, but I guess it all depends on one's perspective.
Yeah, buying a house on the Jersey Shore isn't cheap. And this town is adorable: the whole thing is registered as a Historic Landmark so there are heavy restrictions on what can and can't be done in the town. It is like a mini-Cape May. I loved my six weeks there. You can walk to EVERYTHING, and it's a very quiet, dry town (you can't buy liquor there anywhere), but if you want a little fun and great food, you can walk across the little footbridge or along the boardwalk to Asbury Park, which is coming alive again.

Inspiring!
I need a little more space to spread out though - where would you put a piano? Or do yoga?
I feel like my dog would fill up the place all by herself.
Love it. I could live here, would have to put another little bedroom on for husband..........
The cottage style is wonderful--outside of a full-on modern or MCM house, it's my favorite. But I couldn't/wouldn't downsize enough for that footprint.
And the price stuns me too--even with the prices around here growing exponentially. The average price of a home in this area is edging up to 600K, which seems insane to me--how can the average wage earner afford that?
