I haven't seen Geena Davis in anything new lately, but now, she is starring in Fox's The Exorcist.

It is slightly scary along with some of the commercials for new Halloween movies.

I can watch slightly scary but not too scary!

My Exorcist story is that I met Linda Blair at a Stray Rescue event about 12 years ago and had my photo taken with her. We were both smoking cigarettes and she told me to put the cig behind my back, as did she, because one never should be photographed smoking. :)

Also, I live in St Louis where the real life exorcism took place, the one on which the film is based. The house where it happened was torn down decades ago for development.

I was raised as a teenage Jesuit. I have exorcism stories....

So happy I escaped.

I saw the original movie with Linda Blair when it was first released. Had nightmares for months! Occasionally, I still do. I might need to sleep with a light on tonight - lol.

I much prefer suspense type movies such as The Others with Nicole Kidman for a little bit of a scare.

I also like the whole Alien series with Sigorney Weaver.

I definitely will NOT watch slasher movies - and never will.

I was a precocious reader and I read that book when I was way too young, I'm guessing 10 or 12, and it totally terrified me! It must have been in a pile of books someone passed on to my folks, because it isn't anything either of them would have read. I remember reading it in the back of the car while Mom was driving, and asking, "Mom, what doe c**t mean?" We're lucky she didn't crash!
After I read it, I kept the book turned around on the bookshelf so I wouldn't see the title when I walked by. I'm actually a great fan of horror books and movies, but that one was way too much, too soon.

I find it really terrifying.................

that they are taking all these old movies, and turning them into tv shows.
This did bring up the memory of a spoof movie, Repossessed, that I thought looked funny a long time ago. Saw a preview, but never saw it (sometimes I miss the old rental stores).

Rosarugosa, that's funny! I was sitting in the back seat of the car, reading a newspaper, when I came to a word I was unfamiliar with. "What does 'rape' mean" came the little voice from behind my parents. Stunned silence ensued. I was probably about seven...
