I think I totally won today, I do a lot of things very intuitively (see all the threads on INFJ). So my best shopping is when I feel that everything is just going smooth and in a flow. I have purchased big things this way too, cars, a couch, etc. It is hard on others to explain that this is just 'right' but when I get that feeling it just works out. It works at thrift stores too, I had a feeling to one to one specific one a few years ago and found real zafu cushions (the meditation cushions filled with buckwheat hulls). That was an amazing find.

So I had the feeling to go to a specific Marshalls store and I am so glad I did it. I was going to just go to Target but this was MUCH better. Lots of designer and high quality clothes at good prices. For $80 total I got new wine colored jeans dressy enough for work, a off-white long sleeve top, a very cool wine colored top with pockets I can wear with pants or leggings and a super comfortable dress with pockets. The dress was the most expensive and totally worth it, I can layer up in winter and wear alone in warmer weather, and the pockets are just so rare in some dresses. I am set for the fall winter season with this one trip too.

I also got a few things ahead for holiday gifts, we all buy for my oldest when Halloween stuff is out. I got her a Day of the Dead votive holder for under $3 that she will love.

Nice when that flow happens so good to see it worked out for you.

After thrifts, discounters are my favorite places for clothes shopping.

Nice scores, ZG! I don't often do well with clothes at Marshalls/TJ Maxx, but on rare occasions I've scored some great things for great prices.

When I shop, I go directly to the clearance area and save a bunch.

If you need to buy something new, then look online for a discount. I needed name-brand bras from Bali. First, no stores in my county had my size. Second, they want $40 to order one plus shipping. I went to Just my size online and got those for 14.99 plus shipping. I also shopped early for a new winter coat because last year nothing was left when the zipper broke in my old one. I was forced to wear an ancient one with holes for the rest of the winter. By shopping early, I found a decent one at Wal-Mart for a lot less than the fancy store. I also bought some new slip resistant shoes for snow and ice on sale (my old ones were ripped). My shopping is done unless I need something for a new job or find a super bargain. I don't buy trendy stuff so I can wear these things until they fall apart.
