Ladies and gentlemen who had a reason they wear tights, I got the best tip going into the tights and boots season. I was tugging and tugging on my tights to keep them up last year and one of the teachers said to wear a pair of underwear OVER the tights to keep them from slipping down. It worked great, and no more checking to see if anyone is watching before I tug them up.

Whatever works as long as Tights are worn as Tights and not leggings. Gosh I get bothered for some reason she I see them worn with a top and no skirt. I want to grab the lady and say YOU have no pants on! Oh wait maybe that just happens at WM:|(

Haha, I agree, I went to look for rentals last time and the leasing agent who met me at the place was a young 20's lady with legging/tights and a regular top. Now they are super cute and warm under a long top, dress or skirt, but I did not think they were pants.

I love a garment from BikieGirlBloomers.com, these are super cute long tight bloomers. Under skirts and dresses they are wonderful. I know they are cute and even advertised as Great for Yoga class, but they are underclothes not shorts in anyway! I saw a young girl at the store in a pair one day and almost laughed out loud!

Those are awesome! I work with kids and so sometimes I may have to sit on the floor so I rarely wear skirts or dresses. I have tried similar things but everything scoots up or gets bunched. These look great

I've seen combinations of leggings with attached skirts. Amazon and others have them; they look practical.

If someone can recommend a pair of tights that won't rip after two wearings, and doesn't fall down (I refuse to wear anything over the panty part), and fits a gal size 16, please let me know!

Or tights for people with really long legs? I would love top be able to wear tights but I've had to usually buy the XXL queen-size (and I am not overweight by any means) and they still are not long enough! I can't even believe that someone following the size and weight chart on the package would even be able to wear some of these things if they were actually at the weight that is listed; the waistbands cut me in the middle and I am fifty lbs. less than what is listed on the size chart!

I have bought 1X Queen on occasion. I'm 5'8.5" and weigh about 165 lbs.

I refuse to wear tight clothing. Related to the sizing on the package - I think some people are just used to it so really tight tights don't bother them.

I get cotton tights, they have been at places like Target. Since they are cotton they are not too tight and also don't tear like panty hose easily. I love Hannah Anderson for kids tights but I checked and they do not have adult sizes.

Zoe, I've had to do that since I was in 5th grade or so! Pantyhose and tights have NEVER stayed up on my body. I got the idea in 5th grade to wear my underwear OVER tights to keep them up. I do that to this day, when I actually wear hose or tights. Most of the time, I just refuse since getting into them means a 20 minute contortion dance. I'm so over that. I go bare legged most of the time.

Tradd, it totally works and I wonder why I didn't know until I was 49 years old! I have a few times I like to wear tights, maybe once a month. I spend 3 months in the summer wearing shorts and a work polo so by the end of that I want to dress up a little. I got a lovely soft dress I can wear with cotton tights or leggings which suits my need to dress up without getting fussy.

Good golly, I know! I don't know how these young girls get the clothes on or can breathe afterwards!

I also refuse to wear any kind of a shoe that I can't comfortably run in. It's ridiculous what women are expected to wear these days. I sound like such an old curmudgeon . 😄

Low waist jeans, add those to pile with heels.
