So sad to see Gwen Ifill passed away. We missed her on election night but did not know she was so sick.
Darn this is such a loss, and such sad news.

I just read this, I was surprised! I remember when they carried her in a chair down to the front of the room when she moderated a Presidential debate here in town some years ago. She had a broken leg or some such thing.
Then SNL parodied that night, including someone in a chair.

Wasn't it Queen Latifah who played her in a Saturday Night Live skit about her as moderator of the VP debate with Sarah Palin? The look that Queen/Gwen gave to Sarah on her answers was priceless.

She was one of the very good ones. RIP Gwen.
