The victim is recovering. There is a GoFunMe effort to pay formthe glue and maski g tape he will need in recovery. The assailants havent been identified.

On a brighter note, last night the wife of our new govenor was robbed at gunpoint, she was unhurt, the cops caught her assailants.

A neighbour has the same large size of Frosty. I was wondering how often such temptations get damaged. I call all these inflatable figures 'landfill decorations' as they don't last very long and end up in the landfill along with the solar lights.

We have two of these hideous inflatables on our street now although not as big as is one. Ugh. The new people, the people with money who are spending $400,000 - $600,000 seem to have more money than taste. We never had the inflatables or ticky tacky outdoor decor u til recently. It is THE NEW PEOPLE! Haha.

Fortunately, my immediate neighbors across the street (also new people, but our age) put up lovely white fairy lights in tasteful places today and their house looks very pretty.

I have to admit that I LOVE all the outdoor decorations people put up- tacky, elegant, tasteful and over the top. It makes me smile to think that they love whatever they put out and are willing to do all the work. Me, I put up my little tree, 3 bows on the porch rail, three bows on the driveway fence, a wreath my sister sends me and I'm done. I LOVE al the work others do to brighten these long dreary nights. Only 25 days or so until the days are noticeably longer by at least a minute or two.

Well, I bought one of those laser light show projectors snd now I am lying on the sofa enjoying it. Ii may or may not put it outside. This is probably tacky, but I do like it.

You are right about the lights brightening the dull landscape. Simple lights ( aren't the icicles dripping light lovely?) on the eavestroughs, trees, swags of greenery, and shrubs do that and the laser lights are a delight. A number of people have those and I enjoy the variety when walking the dog.

Updated disco ball! What Cathy said.
I'd probably be mesmerized, as I am by the Windows Media Player's interactive graphics.

What are the laser lights? I looked at the photo but could not tell what I was looking at.

Our neighbor has two giant Golden Retriever blowups with red bows in her yard. I wonder where she found those? The holiday season (dare I say Christmas anymore?) has gotten so bizarre.

The photo is sideways so it is difficult to tell whats in the image.

the red blob is a decorated Xmas tree. The green and red pinpoint lights are the laser scattered lights.
