View Full Version : Kanye meeting Trump
How is this relevant to the many crisis issue we have in the world? Isn't this person married to a reality star(in some peoples eyes)? Seems like he would be so so busy that the time would be to short for this meeting. The political stuff gets stranger every day.
I'm glad Obama never met with people like that.

And he was working, punching the time clock. He was on the taxpayer's dime.
Seriously, if Donald Trump's only transgressions or suspected future transgressions were the claptrap brought up on this SLN website, I would have voted for the man. People! You have got to do better than this.;)
But, but, Kanye didn't even vote!!!
Seriously, though, I'm more concerned about, well, actually I'm concerned about a lot of things so I'll just give the Préoccupation du moment, the supposed conversation trump had with turkey's president to leverage his newfound power for business success. And now trump's business partner in turkey has been arrested. Blackmail just waiting to happen...

It's all just a damned circus. I never understood why Kardashian/West even mattered in this universe. I found it ridiculous too, ctg.
I'm not sure who this Kanye guy is, but he seems to get around.

I'm still waiting on those income tax returns and financial disclosure forms. As a public official responsible for about 15,000 people, an airport, and about 56 sq. miles, I'm subject to higher expectations from the voters and the law than Trump apparently is.
I'd like a little transparency...

What is ugly about it? I think Kim K. is gorgeous.
She's not in the least gorgeous to me.

The guy in the middle is pretty cute though, rawr!

I don't really care who he meets with, however I am getting nervous that he is not actually getting ready to do this job. The victory tour instead of learning what he needs to do is annoying. Also the transparency thing, I have to be very careful of everything I do and say just to take care of about 250 kids after school.
I was having a day of trying to understand the state of the world,,,,,,whoa that's a big mountain. Aleppo was on my mind and I started the news search that I do. I start with CNN, FoX, NPR and the others. I do this to search for comparison. I was hit in the face with this tid bit of ?news? and it bothered me. Sorry

Thanks, bae, the 'rawr' made me laugh. :)

Me too!!!! Never has so little been expected of someone who should do so much! (by his supporters that is....)

Yes, Aleppo. Apparently it's going up in flames--maybe literally--without anyone in this country knowing or caring. But we'll bar the door and build a wall when it comes to letting a few Syrian refugees trickle in.

He's meeting with Hillary's VP choice? That's what I thought. Well I guess spelling is not my strong suit ... But I don't know much about this other Kayne either, probably even less than I do about Hillary's VP choice.
Allepo is all over the war-propaganda channel (aka CNN) but I don't want the U.S. involved. U.S. involvement CAN NOT make things better, the U.S. knows how to destroy countries but not rebuild them (as shown by Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc. but heck it can't even rebuild Detroit or provide drinkable water to Flint). If at least we get a less involved foreign policy out of Trump, well I wouldn't bet on it, and he's still horrible, but it would be something.

Ha, ha. I had to look him up to seen who he is (not Hillary's VP). Never heard of or seen the guy. I'm glad it's not just me. I suspect his conversation was a bit of schmoozing and publicity. Ryan Zinke for Secretary of Interior is at least close to sensible. In the world of Orwellian politics there would also be a Ministry of Truth, but that was way back in 1984.
I have tried to picture current events like the Dakota pipeline protests, Syria, or Malheur occupation under Trump.
I think it's nice he met with Kanye and walked him downstairs personally, as it sounds like Kanye had a breakdown and that they have known each other for years. Maybe he is just a loyal friend?
I read that Kanye just showed up unannounced. I think it was kind of T to meet with him.

This meeting was like his tweets--designed to distract from the real issues--possible Russian tampering with the election and his, shall we say, interesting choices for his Cabinet.
The man is a master of distraction, self-promotion, and spectacle.
Let's hope he has some presidential skills as well, like diplomacy, tact, forbearance, compromise.
