Several astronauts have died too. People from my generation. Some quite young, it is depressing to hear.

"OMG Who is next?!?!"...according to studies there is one birth every 8 seconds and a death every 10 seconds. So expect some more deaths. Winter months clock in more deaths than the other seasons with January being peak.

Death is a natural part of life......unfortunately, it comes sooner rather than later for some. I'm sure with the baby boomers, lots of us will go...........

A lot of people are more attached to celebs than the people they know personally. Celebs are who make us feel good for the most part, and losing them is like losing a friend. Of course, with genealogy as my favorite hobby, a hundred years ago, they were accustomed to early and frequent deaths. If you got sick or injured, then there was a good chance that you died. Probably 50 percent of women died from miscarriages, childbirth or afterwards. Lots of babies had no name and families might have 15 or 20 kids with only one surviving till adulthood. I think in order to survive back then, you would have had to maintain your emotional distance in order to cope with it all.

It seems like they normally come in threes - this month it was more like by the dozen. So much talent lost.

My guess for the first part of 2017 will be Queen Elizabeth ( 90) and Charles Manson (82) . Both are doing poorly .

Our Sunday paper Obituary section keeps getting longer and longer. I always breathe a sigh of relief, when I see that my name isn't on there. ;)
