Victoria starts Sunday night on PBS for us Americans!

Of course, it is up against Hoarders.

In a few weeks, it will be up against The Walking Dead.

But there is nothing to watch on Fridays and Saturdays!

I am really looking forward to this show. Thanks for the reminder.

I may even watch this on PBS rather than wait for the video. Since I dont have cable, it isnt up against anything. The trailers look beautiful.

I'm eager to see this too. I remember years ago watching a PBS series on Benjamin Disraeli that was so good. It really got me much more interested in the times and royalty, Queen Victoria in particular.

There was a film in recent years starring Emily Blunt about Queen Victoria. It was called Young Victoria and is decent.

I'm not a fan of Hoarders! Victoria will easily win out. I just bought a "smart TV" and am in the learning curve. I need to learn how to play it from the internet.

I really enjoyed the series, especialy the first episodes with Lord Melbourne

I think I read somewhere that there would be a second series. They could keep making them for years, after all the dumpy wee German lady ruled for decades!

Wow, over 63 years of ruling - that is a lot of shows!

The first episode was 2 hours and was fantastic. I kept looking up people on Wikipedia to learn more (that is the genealogist in me).

Gorgeous sets and costumes.

Apparently, Victoria felt haunted by her false accusations against the woman with a liver tumor for the rest of her life.

That part was sad.

Next week, season 2 of Mercy Street begins.

What would we do without PBS?

Last night I watched a Cyndi Lauper concert on there and tonight it is fascinating country music.

There are more great shows coming on throughout the winter too.

I enjoyed Victoria very much...except for the RATS!! OMG, I am just surprised I wasn't plagued with nightmares all night long!

I watched it too and really enjoyed it. Had googled a lot of names myself which ticked off the DH...he thought I should concentrate on the show but I love digging a little deeper and it helps me keep track of who is who. BBC is always good at keeping things truthful. I really hate historical shows that take artistic liberties and combine characters.

It was beautiful, but a bit drawn out. i turned it off with ten minutes remaining, tiring of
Lord Melbourne and Victoria's back and forth. I do love Rufus Sewell, however.

Too bad for you because that was the best 10 minutes of the show!

I don't want to spoil it for anyone - you will just have to buy the DVD!
