So for the last couple of days I've noticed that if I use my cell phone when the TV is on, the cell signal seems to interfere with the TV, i.e. the picture "stands still." And as of this evening, my cell phone won't come on, even after being plugged into the charger for 2 hours, any room in the house, even went out and tried it on the blue tooth in the car, no go. So it seems like the digital TV signal has killed my cell phone!

Ideas, anybody? I am so frustrated!!

I'd have to make some assumptions here but I'm guessing your digital TV signal is of the over-the-air variety rather than cable or satellite, and I'd further guess that the reception issue is tied to your phone since it stopped working.

Over the air digital TV signals for channels above 13 use UHF frequencies between 470 and 890 MHz, alongside some cellular providers usage of UHF frequencies between 824 and 896MHz. My guess is your phone and TV are fighting for the same frequency.

Ah, thank you Alan, yes, your guess about the TV reception is correct, so the rest of it makes sense as well. That gives me a direction to solving the issues. Thanks!
