Has anyone here heard about a food safety management software? Is it an effective tool to manage food safety processes and does it address any concerns when inspected by FDA and other regulatory boards? I am really just curious because our family is planning on venturing into the food industry and i just would like to research more before we decide. I have been reading about product recalls, as well as the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), and a need to meet HACCP, HARPC and GFSI requirements.
For those who work in the food industry, could you please share your food safety processes?

This sounds like someone else's posts, that frequently is "looking for software" and seems to post elsewhere at the same time. Anyone else thinking the same thing?

Was my thought as well, but was going to wait and see before reporting to a moderator. I don't get why someone would be posting a question like this to a simple living forum, they are quite unlikely to get an answer. It would seem to be more beneficial to post this to a food safety group or similar.

Good eye everyone! I noticed yesterday while reviewing pending registrations that our now newest member shared an IP address with another member. However, that in and of itself doesn't mean anything, maybe a spouse or sibling or roommate wanted to join as well. No harm, no foul as long as the terms of service aren't violated.

As to the original question, I'd recommend starting with the FDA's guidance documents, or whatever equivalent agencies may be appropriate in the Philippines. Good luck!

This whole thread is cryptic. Has this site been compromised?

The IP address from our newest member. It's not a Russian IP address is it? :)

What is the concern here? I am not a techie so I thought IP address sharing is some kind of bad thing sometimes?

No concerns from me, and nothing cryptic either. Everything I've shared is plain as day to at least one participant of the thread.

As I recall, you lived with your sister last year didn't you? Did she allow you the use of her home internet? If so, you and she shared the same IP address. Is that bad?

IP is an internet address, like 1234 Main Street but on the intarwebz. Got it.

Good analogy. In your example, that is an external IP address assigned to a modem/router at 1234 Main Street. The router then gets a little more granular, assigning internal (non-routable across the internet) IP addresses to each device connecting to it. So, at your sister's house you and she had different internal addresses which could be thought of as Living Room and Ultralight's Porn Palace. ;)

Oh noes! Now you've given the SJW's in UA's class yet another reason to hate him

LOL to both you and Alan.

You'd better hope those SJWs are into complex living so that they don't ever see this thread.

I actually quit watching porn in 2013. I have a friend who said he was addicted. So in solidarity I quit with him for a New Year's Resolution. He lasted a week...

Your computer must still be like brand new then. Especially since you do most of your posting here at work.

My friend who said he was addicted to porn said the addiction is harder for him to quit because he is gay. I think it is just that I was not that into it, so it was easier to walk away from.

Last time I checked, the Philippines was its own country. Not sure why they would be asking about US based regulations, which have nothing to do with software.

The most common form of virtue signalling.

I don't think voting for a Republican under any circumstance is a virtue.

Really UA? I always had you for a "consider the data" kind of guy. Although I don't know why. Straight edge, atheism and minimalism are all absolutes, so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.

Maybe he has considered the data. From what I've seen it's been a while since almost any republican politician has been for anything other than "more republicans getting elected at any cost". My mom was a lifelong republican (small government, less foreign intervention libertarian style) who announced during the bush administration that she would never vote for another republican again. (If I recall correctly it was medicare part d with no negotiation on drug prices that finally pushed her over the edge.) Unfortunately she died less than a year later so she lived up to that promise but I suspect that if she were still alive she'd still be living up to that promise.

I vote for republicans almost every primary. It's the only way to have any say in many of my local elections.

also, I'm allergic to absolutes.

reflecting more on this, if I remember correctly, UA has an issue with voting, not just republicans.
