That's great. Shows how "attachment-creep" can happen to the best of us! :)

A lot of the great religious traditions have similar teachings. For example, I think there's a passage in the gospels:

"He told them: "Take nothing for the journey--no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Well, no, on second thought, you'd better bring an extra shirt. There are like no good laundromats in Samaria. And you know that if someone asks for your shirt, you have to give it to him, so it's good to have a spare.

"And when I say no money, of course I mean no cash. You can use your credit card for just about everything nowadays, and if you do need cash there are ATMs everywhere now. And while you're at it, don't forget a gourd. There's nothing worse than walking across the desert with no water, and on some of those back roads you can go miles without seeing a convenience store. And the no bread thing--well, maybe a couple of sandwiches, just in case you get peckish. I mean, I'm just suggesting you travel light, that's all."
