I was nominated

I was nominated by my supervisor for an award from the Denver Afterschool Alliance! Wow, I didn't win it but I am very happy to be nominated. It was in the sustainability and resource category. I can run some very efficient programs here. Her recommendation includes that I serve a high population of students at my school.

So I printed it out and it is in my 'feel good' folder. There are people from all programs across Denver, ours, Denver Zoo, Bridge Project, Mi Casa, Parks and Rec (not the show), and Colorado I have a Dream.

Zoe Girl,
I like your printing out the nomination to keep in your Feel Good folder. I had one of those too while I was working. It helped on those very frustrating work days (rare for me fortunately) when you were in need of some reminders of all the good that you had accomplished. Good for you!

that's really great, Zoe Girl! You should be proud! Being nominated for such an award is an honor that is sometimes more important than actually winning, IMHO, especially if the person nominating knows one and what one does, not just the impressive but often sanitized "resume" version of one, if that makes sense. Well done! :cool:
