Compassion Games movement? Anyone participated?

This is something that I read about for the first time today. In our busy society, making time for others and supporting community efforts makes sense and badly needed.

I wonder how this competea with long time volunteer management organizations. For i stance, we have had "arts Commandos" in St. Louis for decades. They are a clearing house for volu teer jobs in the arts.
