Sewing question

I haven't sewn much recently. I bought a yard and 1/4 of fabric to make my daughter some cloth napkins for christmas.
I sort of remember something about bias. Do I really need to worry about that, when cutting out squares for napkins?

no, as long as you cut them "straight" i.e. cut parallel pr perpendicular to the selvage, not at an angle.
