Thank you! It went great. I was in my room by 0945, PT at 1415. Pharmacist education on meds 1730. Home 1945.

I have meds every 3hours so DH set alarms. Walking is going well. My adductor canal block will be wearing off in the next 12 hours. Circulating ice water machine on when sitting. Love this thing-best friends we are:cool:

These are the best invention. There is a pad that goes on your surgical site (I have it inside a folded flannel pillowcase). Then there is a small cooler I have 3 frozen 16 ounce water bottles (yes I actually bought 6 water bottles). Then fill with water. It circulates through the pad. So much better than ice packs.

We use them on: hip, knee, shoulder and back surgeries. It really decreases the need for pain meds.

Iris Lily: I had a knee replacement:cool:

Good luck and hang in there with all the P.T. It really pays off.

I think what helps the most is the "preop PT". Getting those muscles in good shape and lots of stretching. I was at full extension just 2hours after getting to my room. This is usually the goal of the 1st 2 weeks. and I'm already at 110d flexion..

Pain is minimal-much less than I expected. This too may be because of my preop work.

I suppose my boredom is earned:~)
