Cremation uses more of the earth’s resources than burial. Heard thatbladt week on ?Npr? Or ?
anyways, now there is body disposal by chemicals.

Sounds good to me - I would go for it. Soup's on!
Hmm... how is it green if you are using chemicals? If I don't use RoundUp on my weeds, am I going let my family use RoundUp on ME? No way.

We are all made up of “chemicals.”
Afe there any chemicals that are benign? Hmmm, I think so.
Are flesh eating chemicals benign? One would think not on first blush. Yet, these are alkaline chemicals. Some greenies are proclaiming that “green.”

I'll have to look more into that. Seems nasty to me, even if the chemicals are alkaline. Makes me think of the scenes in House on Haunted Hill when Vincent Price pushed his wife into the vat of acid.
I'd rather go this route: https://www.cnn.com/2017/05/03/world/eco-solutions-capsula-mundi/index.html
But, I fact, I think I'll probably go for the traditional cremation.
Here's another article about it that explains the process. I'm still not sure I'm into it, but, as you said, IL, if you choose cremation because it's more environmentally-friendly, you may be wrong.
I definitely have to check it out.

Wait, my state has this before California? It is allowed there in the. year 2020.
Missouri has already liquified a body or two.
When I don't need my body anymore, cremation is my choice but aquamation may be OK as well. I read recently somewhere that each cremation takes the equivalent energy of supplying an average home's electricity for a week. Seemed high to me so this method would be a better option.
I plan on being cremated, but not by some giant gas oven contraption, rather we will be using a classic, simple, elegant Viking longship made out of renewable and sustainably-harvested wood.
Very nice, Bae, I see kind of a Lady of Shalott scene:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80-kp6RDl94&list=RD80-kp6RDl94&t=599
"For ere she reach'd upon the tide
The first house by the water-side,
Singing in her song she died,
The Lady of Shalott.
Under tower and balcony,
By garden-wall and gallery,
A gleaming shape she floated by,
Dead-pale between the houses high,
Silent into Camelot.
Out upon the wharfs they came,
Knight and burger, lord and dame,
And round the prow they read her name,
The Lady of Shalott."
No vat of acid here, either.
