Even though I'm pretty happy with my little house, I saw this house on Inhabitat, and I love it. Because its a little extreme in its whimsy and minimalism, I'd love to get the thoughts of others.

Would you be comfortable in it? I might need a few personal touches, but overall, I vote yes.

Nope. I couldn't get to the bed. As one ages, that bed is going to be a big problem as it requires crawling around.

Not for me. Maybe a nice cabin for getting away from it all, but, for me, as a practical dwelling place, not even close (accessibility, overall space (including storage), almost-nonexistent kitchen).

Nope. except as a playhouse.

I couldn't imagine it as my primary residence.

I could live there. Seems like a nice house to me. I would be concerned with accessibility, as others noted, as I got old.

But I would probably be fine living in a tent at a campground too. haha

It's really pretty, all that light wood! I can't remember, does your house have light wood inside? I like it because it reminds me of some pretty spaces up here in the North Woods. Very Scandinavian.

I could not live there; it looks cold to me with those pull close windows but maybe not because it is so small and there is that woodstove. People say yurts are warm, so maybe this would be, too.

Being surrounded by all the light wood (floors, walls, ceiling) actually felt claustrophobic to me. Maybe some bright canvases would help. Cute idea and I like the levels but yeah, I'd probably trip.

A lot of these tiny houses work better as concept pieces than they would in real life. My idea of tiny-that-works is around 800 square feet. I'd be more comfortable around 1200.

Yes, this is an extreme house, but there's something about its simplicity that is appealing to me. At the same time, I get why many wouldn't like it as a "live-in" house.

So far, my experiment living with my SO in a 700 sq ft space is telling me that its not an issue. In fact, I LOVE it. If I misplace something, a quick scan turns it up. I am finding it's much more efficient to just do the few dishes we use rather than load up the dishwasher--in fact, we may replace the dishwasher with a hot water heater larger than the 10 gallon one we have now! (What's the use of a nice clawfoot tub if you can't get enough hot water?)

I know it's summer, and winter might tell me something completely different, but I am so totally fine with living in a small house it's surprising in a very pleasant way. I have just what I need, and no more.

How nice Catherine, to be so content with your choice.

Offhand, it's a nice looking house but could use hand railings! There are steps and no railings. That's a consideration if you could lose your balance. These models are about the size of where I live in terms of square footage. I find my space to be adequate.

Glad that this got bumped up for another look. I couldn't live with all the levels but it is cute.
